Kevin Lopez, visual designer, choreographer, and color guard instructor, is a California native who recently moved to Texas in 2018. He has been heavily involved in the marching arts for over 15 years. He has performed with the Riverside City College Marching Band, Fantasia Winter Guard, and the Santa Clara Vanguard Winter Guard. At SCV, he became an Independent World Class Champion.
Kevin started teaching in 2009, where he worked with several ensembles across Southern California. Before moving across the country, Kevin spent most of his time teaching at Sultana High School in Hesperia California, where he directed from 2012-2018. In addition to working with the Green Brigade, he also currently co-directs the Byron Nelson High School Color Guard alongside Kristine Silva. Further, he has worked and consulted with several ensembles who have competed in BOA, DCI, and WGI.
He is extremely excited to have the pleasure of joining the Green Brigade staff and is looking forward to the talented students at UNT.
